DBasia.news – Inter Milan reportedly did not close the opportunity to sell Lautaro Martinez in the 2021 summer transfer market. One of the team that is targeting the Argentine striker is Arsenal.
Financial problems due to the corona virus pandemic have made Inter Milan’s plans fall apart. Inter experienced an obstacle in renewing the contracts of its players.
Lautaro Martinez fell into that category. Having previously reached an agreement, negotiations are now restarting because Inter are planning to cut player salaries. The Nerazzurri are increasingly under pressure as Lautaro’s contract expires in 2023.
Therefore, based on the report of transfer market expert, Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter Milan are open to selling Lautaro this summer. So far, Arsenal are the team that has shown interest.
Di Marzio continued, there have been preliminary talks between the two sides. Although, it is not yet known whether there has been an offer value mentioned.
Apart from Arsenal, Lautaro is reportedly also on Atletico Madrid’s radar. The striker has a release clause of 111 million euros. However, it is believed that Inter will still sell Lautaro if the offer is not too far from the release clause.
Preparing a Substitute
Meanwhile, Inter Milan are reportedly starting to move to find a replacement for Lautaro. The player being monitored is Lazio striker Joaquin Correa.
According to developing news, Lautaro’s compatriot really wants to leave this summer. Correa has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain. Reportedly, Simone Inzaghi is interested in reuniting with Correa at Inter Milan.
