Inter Milan targets Inzaghi’s former player

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Inter Milan is quite satisfied with the squad they have, especially after winning the Italian Super Cup. Moreover, Il Nerazzurri are still competitive in the race for the Scudetto, Coppa Italia and Serie A.

No doubt this January (winter transfer market) Inter are passive but remain active when the opportunity comes to recruit players. Currently Inter are looking for a replacement for Joaquin Correa who is injured and out for 30-35 days (more than a month).

Inter have Edin Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez, but Simone Inzaghi wants one more striker. Cheap solutions were sought and reportedly, according to La Gazzeta dello Sport, Inter are targeting Felipe Caicedo.

Caicedo (33 years old) spent four years with Inzaghi at Lazio and became a key player. Over 139 games for Lazio, Caicedo scored 33 goals and some of those goals came at crucial moments.

Caicedo is currently on loan at Genoa from Lazio and can be signed on loan as well at a lower cost. At Genoa, Caicedo struggled to form optimally with just one goal in eight Serie A games, missing 12 due to injury.

Moreover, Genoa is not in the best form this season. Reunion with Inzaghi could bring back his best appearance. Caicedo is an experienced striker who has played for Manchester City, Espanyol and Levante
