By db-admin
DBasia.news – Spanish midfielder Isco has decided to end his trophy-laden nine-year career with Real Madrid when his contract expires on 30 June.
The 30-year-old joined Madrid from Malaga in 2013 and made nearly 250 appearances for the Champions League champions.
Through his Instagram account, Isco wrote a touching farewell to Real Madrid.
“Real Madrid is knocking on my door and Real Madrid cannot and cannot refuse, although there are always exceptions.
“I remember telling those closest to me that Madrid had not won the Champions League for many years, and I was sure that would change and (then) La Decima arrived, everything that happened after that is history.”
“Nine years later my time at the club is coming to an end, which has allowed me to fulfill all the dreams I had when I was a child.
“I want to thank my team-mates, the coach, the coaching staff, the physios, the workers at Valdebebas and the Santiago Bernabeu for all the work, love and support that everyone and I need.”
“I also want to thank the fans who welcomed me in such a great way from day one and who accompanied this team in every corner of the world!”
“Goodbye and Hala Madrid.”
Overall, Isco made 246 appearances and scored 37 goals for Real Madrid. He has also presented five Champions League trophies and three LaLiga titles since joining the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, he did not play as his team won their 14th Champions League trophy after beating Liverpool 1-0.
