This is the first time Liverpool have partnered with Nike. Both parties has signed a five-year contract last January.

In its inaugural design, Nike chose to highlight the traditional values ​​of the club. This is visible in the color selection.

Red and white combinations still dominates the colors of Liverpool’s latest home jersey designs. But Nike has added the color teal (a mixture of blue and green) taken from the club logo with a V-neck collar.

“At the beginning of this new partnership, it is important to show maximum respect and we have done it by concentrating on the core identity of the club. What you see is a clean and strong design, which by any fan will soon know it belongs to Liverpool,” said Nike Football vice president, Scott Munson on the club’s official website.

Nike also provided a unique nameset font and jersey number for the new Liverpool jersey. The form will soon be known in the near future.

“I have been part of the Nike family until now and have an extraordinary relationship with them. I am very familiar with the quality of design and innovation used to make a jersey like this,” said Liverpool’s flagship defender, Virgil Van Dijk.

In addition to the home jersey, Nike has also released the main goalkeeper’s jersey. Black is again the dominant color in the uniform that Alisson Becker will often use next season.
