Jadon Sancho is starting to rise at Manchester United

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Since being transferred from Borussia Dortmund for €85 million to Manchester United, Jadon Sancho has been in the spotlight with high expectations. Understandably, at Borussia Dortmund and the Bundesliga Sancho diligently gain goals and create opportunities.

With Dortmund Sancho, according to Transfermarkt, played 137 games scoring 50 goals and providing 64 assists. It’s understandable that Man United fans expect the same impact at the club.

But the Premier League is not the Bundesliga and Man United is not Dortmund. Sancho (21 years old) despite being English, has only been playing competitively in the first team in the Premier League this season as he went from Manchester City’s academy to Dortmund without playing in the Premier League.

“It’s hard to say, I think it’s because it’s a different league and also a different competition, relying more on physicality,” said Ralf Rangnick, United manager about Sancho’s difficulties in England some time ago.

I think it also has to do with a lot of different things in his head,” Rangnick added.

“There is a difference when you come as an 18-year-old, unknown, talented English player to Borussia Dortmund. From then on, you can only improve, you can only succeed from it.”

“The level of expectation is much lower compared to the situation when, at the age of 21, you come to a club like Manchester United for a high transfer fee, with high expectations.”

“Everyone expects from him that he will become one of the best players in the team. Again, this is a more challenging psychological, emotional situation than the one he experienced at Borussia Dortmund, and this is a step he has to take to become a top player during his career. The next 10 years for this club.”

Rangnick knows exactly how Sancho plays because he has watched him for some time, plus Rangnick knows well how to play Sancho in the Bundesliga. The manager’s patience with Sancho has began to pay off.

Jadon Sancho’s Resurrection

In the last two matches against Brighton and Leeds United, Man United won by scoring a total of six goals. In those two games, Sancho also played well.

Against Leeds, Sancho became Man of the Match by providing two assists, creating three chances, having three kicks, seven touches in the opponent’s penalty box and 21 passes in the final third of the opponent’s defence.

Added by Statman Dave, Sancho has directly contributed to goals in three of the last five games, against Middlesbrough (goal), against Southampton (goal) and against Leeds (two assists).

“He’s regained his touch and it’s nice to see that, because he’s been heavily criticized,” said United legend Roy Keane of Sancho’s form.

Support was also given to Sancho’s compatriot, Jude Bellingham who is also a former teammate at Dortmund. When United won 4-2 over Leeds, Dortmund slaughtered Borussia Monchengladbach with a score of 6-0.

“Brother, keep destroying (opponents) there. I’m proud of you, brother,” Sancho told Bellingham. “Big love always my brother, continue to prove everyone (to the haters) that they are wrong,” Bellingham replied.
