DBasia.news – Chelsea won their first victory of the season. Playing at Carrow Road, Norwich City headquarters, the Blues won in Week three of the Premier League, Saturday (8/24) WIB.
Having opened the scoring through Tammy Abraham’s quick goal in the third minute, Daniel Farke’s squad then managed to equalize three minutes later. Mason Mount successfully listed his name on the scoreboard in the 17th minute, however, Teemu Pukki returned to even the score to 2-2 in the 31st minute.
Three points for Frank Lampard’s squad were determined by Tammy Abraham’s second goal in the 68th minute and the match was over with a score of 3-2 to win for the Blues.
The public was worried by Mason Mount’s injury a few minutes before the fight was over, he even had to be replaced with Marcos Alonso in the 89th minute. Luckily after the game, Frank Lampard confirmed that the injury suffered by his player was not serious.
“Mason Mount has experienced a slight impact on his calf, the situation is clearly better when compared to his calf being pulled. We will immediately conduct further examinations,” Lampard said as reported by the Evening Standard.
“Hopefully he will recover in the next few days and I hope we will receive good news regarding his injury,” added the former Derby County manager.
This news is definitely a relief for the reigning Europa League champions, they have already lost several mainstay players, in addition to Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James, N’golo Kante and Pedro Rodriguez also extended the team’s injury list.
After this match, the Blues will immediately prepare to host another promotion team, Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge, Saturday (31/8).
