Javier Tebas Believes Football in Europe would be Back Mid-May
By db-admin
DBasia.news – LaLiga president, Javier Tebas, believes the European leagues can be played again in mid-May and the season can be completed.
“In mid-May we would be able to get back together with all European competitions. Everything. Of course it depends on how this pandemic develops,” Tebas told Marca.
“It could even be before that time, but this is the date we are trying to achieve in starting over.”
“Everything depends on the health authorities in each country. We discussed the schedule in more than 30 leagues. Everything is settled together.”
Tebas said the suspension of the 2020 European Cup announced by UEFA meant that the club’s competition should have been completed on schedule.
“We don’t want to change all seasons, we don’t think about it. In a situation like this, the scenarios we are considering are all short-term,” he added.
Tebas also ensured that LaLiga had sent testing equipment to all clubs so that players could be tested.
