Jesse Lingard Officially Joins West Ham United

By db-admin

DBasia.news – West Ham United officially borrowed Jesse Lingard from Manchester United until the end of the 2020-2021 season. An important role has been prepared for the 28 year old player.

Lingard seemed to have no future at Manchester United after not playing in the Premier League this season. He was unable to compete with other world-class midfielders who filled Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad.

Even though Lingard had become a mainstay of Manchester United’s midfield in the last few seasons. He also strengthened the England national team at the 2018 World Cup.

This has in fact made West Ham believe in Lingard’s quality. The Hammers manager, David Moyes, also knew his ability when he handled Manchester United in the 2013-2014 season.

“I’ve seen him play when he was young, when he was playing on the right wing. I also watched him play on the left and he played as a number 10 or 8 player in the England national team,” said Moyes.

Lingard is known as a multi-functional player. He can play in a number of different positions in attack.

Moyes himself haa prepared a plan for Lingard. The player will be one of the pillars of West Ham’s attack.

“I feel that we can play him as a false nine if we need him. I want to try to get an energetic team and I think Jesse is known for his work ethic, so I think he will suit what we have,” he added.

“I hope he gives us a little bit of quality and the winning mentality of Manchester United.”

Lingard is certainly motivated to prove his worth with West Ham. He has an interest in stealing the attention of the England national team coach to be brought to the European Cup next summer.
