Scores a Goal on Leicester City Gives Jesse Lingard Confidence

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Jesse Lingard experienced difficult times throughout the 2019-2020 Premiere League competition. But one goal on Leicester City in the last Premier League match 2019-2020 has made him feel confident.

Lingards had been bombarded with criticism after not making a meaningful contribution in the Manchester United game. This can be seen from the zero record of goals and assists despite appearing 21 times in the Premier League before the match against Leicester.

Manchester United fans once quipped social media activities as a cause of Lingard’s declining performance. The player gave a defense that his focus was disturbed because his mother fell ill.

“This season has been a difficult season for a variety of reasons. I lost my identity as a player and an individual, but refused to give up because I know very well who I am,” Lingard said through an upload on his Instagram.

“I have to train harder and believe in the people around me. They know how to explore the best in me.”

The great impact of Bruno Fernandes since arriving in January had made Lingard forgotten. He was even rumored to be sold in the transfer market this summer.

Even so, Lingard still seems to want to fight for his place at Manchester United. He did not care even though his contract has only one year left.

“I know the fans are frustrated to see me, but my love for this club and the people who are connected will never disappear. This club is my family and I will continue to work harder than ever to help this team achieve its goals,” he concluded.
