Sheffield United targets Jesse Lingard

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Sheffield United plans to bring Manchester United (MU) player, Jesse Lingard in the winter transfer market, January 2021.

Sheffield United under Chris Wilder’s direction is one of the clubs looking to January 2021 as a moment to add new ammunition. The Blades need new players to generate team performance.

13 weeks have passed in the Premier League and Sheffield are in danger of relegation if they don’t rise quickly. The reason is that currently they have only won one point and are at the bottom of the standings. One draw and 12 defeats is definitely not a good situation.

The British player’s position has been uncertain at the moment as he rarely plays under the direction of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Lingard last played in the league in January 2020 and has only appeared in the League Cup twice this season. Lingard did not enter Solskjaer’s plans and his contract expires at the end of the 2020-2021 season.

Seeing the success of Dean Henderson when he was loaned by MU to Sheffield last season, Sheffield hopes that Lingard (28 years old) can revive his career with them. Sheffield can first borrow the player and be evaluated when the season ends.

Lingard’s salary of £ 100,000 per week could be a problem for Sheffield in recruiting him. However, it can be negotiated further.

The MU players who are rumored to leave is not only Lingard as several other names who have not played have also entered transfer speculation, such as Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, to Argentine goalkeeper, Sergio Romero.
