DBasia.news – Chelsea are still looking for a manager to replace Maurizio Sarri. Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is a candidate. News of his arrival was increasingly heavy circulating after Derby County allowed him to negotiate with Chelsea.
Although several other names have reportedly had the opportunity to become Chelsea’s manager, Lampard is considered to be the right candidate even though he has only undergone one season in his career as a coach. Some former Chelsea players have also expressed their support for Lampard.
This time the support came from Lampard’s former colleague, John Terry, who currently serves as an assistant coach at Aston Villa. Terry considers that Lampard is more suitable compared to various other candidates who had reportedly been able to become Chelsea’s new manager.
“With what Frank Lampard showed in his first season with Derby County, and with the transfer ban currently underway by Chelsea, there are no other more appropriate candidates for success at the club. “This moment is the perfect moment for him and Chelsea,” said John Terry in an interview quoted from the Goal.
Terry mentioned Lampard’s experience when brought in from West Ham United as a player and there was a pressure that did not give effect to the former England national team player. Terry considered that Lampard had succeeded in becoming the best player in Chelsea’s history and continued that influence in his coaching career.
