DBasia.news – Barcelona managed to defeat Real Betis in the La Liga event. Jordi Alba highlighted a number of first-half chances that went to waste.
Barcelona faced Betis in the 9th week of La Liga 2020-2021, Saturday (8/11/2020) am. The Blaugrana won the duel at the Camp Nou with a score of 5-2.
Lionel Messi contributed two goals in this match. Meanwhile, Osmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann and Pedri scored one goal each.
The visitors reduced the position through Antonio Sanabria and Loren Moron. In fact, Betis had to play with 10 players after Aissa Mandi received a red card.
Despite winning big, Barcelona failed to take advantage of opportunities several times. That includes Antoine Griezmann’s failure to execute a penalty in the 33rd minute.
Alba regretted the number of chances wasted in this match. However, he was grateful that his team scored in the second half.
“It makes you angry, but that’s football,” said Alba as reported by Marca.
“We were unlucky with a penalty, a chance hit by the post. We had a clear [chance]. But we scored in the second half.”
During the second half, both Alba and Sergi Roberto provided assists for the Barcelona attackers. Alba delivered a cross which Griezmann converted.
“We know how important wing-backs are in the Barcelona game. We have the freedom to attack,” said Alba. “I can make one [assist] and Sergi Roberto scored two.”
