Jorginho frustrated to see Chelsea lose to Leeds United

DBasia.news – Jorginho expressed his frustration after seeing Chelsea completely humiliated by Leeds United in the third week of the 2022-2023 Premier League.

Playing at Elland Road, the Blues were beaten by a landslide score of three goals without reply and were forced to return to Stamford Bridge empty handed.

The Italy international player admitted that his team did not play like they used to, and that was a major factor in the massacre.

“The worst day. We started well in the first 15 or 20 minutes, then we were a little frustrated because they scored and we started doing things we shouldn’t have done,” said Jorginho as quoted from the club’s official website.

“We were stuck. We conceded and then we lost our minds, which shouldn’t have happened here. We were punished.”

“We knew it was coming [intensity and high pressure from Leeds]. We made a lot of plans and followed plans, in the end we didn’t finish the plans and then we started doing different things.”

“We played a game that we don’t normally play. If we had followed the plan and tried to get out of the pressure, maybe it would have been a different story.”

Even so, Jorginho has encouraged his team-mates to quickly move on and look forward, with the Blues set to face Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday (27/8).

“We are always trying to improve and help each other to push even more, unfortunately yesterday we couldn’t do that.”

“We have to keep going, always. These things can happen, but it’s about how we bounce back for the next game.”
