Jose Mourinho Admits Eriksen Wants to Leave Spurs
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Jose Mourinho refused to deny the fact that midfielder, Christian Eriksen, wanted to leave the club in the January transfer window.
Eriksen’s contract with Spurs would expire in June and he is expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Although it is widely known that the Danish player has asked to leave the club last summer, Tottenham have so far yet to receive a suitable offer to release Eriksen.
However, Spurs will likely try to sell Eriksen next month as the player is free to negotiate pre-contract agreements with European clubs starting in January, which could make the London club lose their midfielder for free.
Mourinho does not want to talk about Eriksen’s future, but he does not deny on his player wanting to leave.
“I only know his contract expires at the end of the season and my conversation with Christian is a private conversation that I will not share,” Mourinho stated.
“I think this is a personal matter. I will not tell him.”
“He was honest with me and vice versa, so our relationship was great.”
“We have a great relationship from day one. I will not betray that trust and relationship.”
