Jose Mourinho Officially Fired From Tottenham Hotspur

DBasia.news – Tottenham Hotspur took decisive steps towards the end of the 2020-2021 season. Officially through their statement they fired the Portuguese manager, Jose Mourinho, following a series of poor results from the club in various competitions.
“The club today can announce that Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff Joao Sacramento, Nuno Santos, Carlos Lalin and Giovanni Cerra have been released (sacked),” said a statement on Tottenham’s official website.
Tottenham President Daniel Levy added that the reason for sacking Mourinho and his coaching staff was because of the team’s inconsistent performance. But personally Levy admired Mourinho’s figure.
“Jose and his coaching staff have been with us through some of their most challenging times as a club. Jose is a true professional who has shown extraordinary resilience during the pandemic,” said Levy.
“Personally, I am happy to work with him and regret that things did not go the way we both imagined. He will always be welcome here and we want to thank him and his coaching staff for their contribution.”
Assistant coach Ryan Mason will be Tottenham Hotspur’s interim manager. Mourinho’s dismissal came less than 24 hours of the announcement of the European Super League and Tottenham’s involvement in it.
However, according to Italian football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Mourinho’s dismissal has nothing to do with the European Super League, purely because of Tottenham’s declining and inconsistent form.
Currently Tottenham are in seventh place in the standings from 32 matches with a record of 50 points, five points adrift of West Ham United who are in fourth place, aka the Champions League zone. Mourinho was sacked ahead of the League Cup final against Manchester City on Sunday (25/04).
