Jose Mourinho Reportedly Already Contacted by Real Madrid
By db-admin
DBasia.news – To overcome the possibility of Zinedine Zidane leaving the club, Real Madrid has contacted its former club coach, Jose Mourinho.
The experience-packed manager has been unemployed since December last year when he was sacked by Manchester United, and after that was a football observer several times.
Zidane’s position in Madrid is threatened after losing 0-1 against the new promotion club, Real Mallorca. El Chiringuito television station reported that the club had contacted Mourinho as a candidate for Zidane’s successor.
The Portuguese boss coached Los Blancos between 2010 and 2013, the peak of which occurred in 2012 when he presented the La Liga title.
Mourinho led Madrid to 128 wins in 178 matches, in addition to presenting the Copa del Rey title in 2011 and the Spanish Supercopa a year later.
He is said to be returning to the Spanish capital several times in the past 12 months and has good relations with club president Florentino Perez.
Madrid still ranks second in the La Liga standings but again went through a bad experience after losing at Mallorca on Saturday night last week.
The Diario Sport report two months ago said that Perez kept Mourinho’s return option open this season.
