Jose Mourinho’s Commentary on Rumors of Coaching Arsenal
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Jose Mourinho, before coaching Tottenham Hotspur, has reportedly coached Arsenal. However, the manager denied the rumors.
Arsenal just fired Unai Emery’s manager. Previously, Mourinho was rumored to be his successor. However, the Portuguese coach first moved closer to Tottenham.
“There was no meeting with Arsenal. Of course, I never deny it because I never deny things. But when I read that I had a meeting with Raul Sanllehi, that wasn’t true,” Mourinho said at Soccerway.
It is possible to recruit Mauricio Pochettino who was fired by Tottenham last week. For Mourinho that is no problem.
“I have never played against Pochettino in my life. Never. Manchester United against Tottenham yes, Tottenham against Chelsea, yes, but never against Pochettino.”
“So if he goes to Arsenal, if he goes to any club, it will never be me against him. That will be me against these clubs. So yes, I hope to play against Arsenal, I want to play against Arsenal. I know what this means for our fans.”
“I know it is a big game, not only because Arsenal is a big club that has the same difficulties as us, but also I know the meaning and I like it,” Mourinho added.
