DBasia.news – Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool manager, also commented on the speculation regarding the transfer of Sporting Lisbon midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, to Manchester United. According to him, Fernandes can make United even more dangerous.
Liverpool played 2-2 against Sporting CP in a friendly match. In the match, Jurgen Klopp’s squad seemed to have faced difficulty to contain Bruno Fernandes’ actions. In fact, Fernandes scored when the match had only been running for four minutes.
After the match, Jurgen Klopp expressed his opinion on Bruno Fernandes’ appearance. He considered the 24-year footballer to be a very good player.
“If he joins Manchester United, we must be ready to face him. He is clearly a good player,” said Klopp as reported by Goal.
Manchester United have been linked with Bruno Fernandes since the past month. The Red Devils are trying to meet Sporting CP’s demand of 50 million euros.
Apart from Manchester United, Bruno Fernandes has also attracted Manchester City. The Citizens assess, the presence of Fernandes in the squad could increase the chances of winning the Champions League.
“They already have good players. So, he might make Manchester United stronger,” added the manager.
“This is not good. But, to be honest, the transfer of Manchester United is not our business,” Jurgen Klopp stressed.
Playing as an attacking midfielder, Bruno Fernandes packed 32 goals plus 18 assists last season. The former Sampdoria player still has a contract at Sporting CP as of June 2023.
