DBasia.news – Juventus vice president, Pavel Nedved, confirmed that his side are confident of completing the transfer of Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli. Nedved considers that the tough negotiations are normal.
Juventus are one of the clubs targeting Manuel Locatelli’s signature. La Vecchia Signora made a loan offer plus a redemption option.
However, Sassuolo as the owner wants there to be certainty that Juventus will make Locatelli permanent. In addition, Sassuolo also want the sale of Locatelli to generate 35 million euros.
So far, negotiations between Juventus and Sassuolo have not met a common ground. In fact, the player prioritizes Juve over Arsenal who are also interested.
“About Locatelli, we spoke with Sassuolo and made an offer. We believe the value is good and fair,” said Nedved as reported by Calciomercato.
“Confidence issues? We always believe. It’s normal in negotiations for things to be clarified and resolved. When you want the player and the player wants you too, it becomes clear.”
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Future
Pavel Nedved also guarantees Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at Juventus. Nedved praised the contribution made by CR7 so far. The Bianconeri doen’t want the superstar to leave.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is our player. He still has one year remaining on his contract and we are very happy that he also guarantees a lot of goals every season. Ronaldo is a player of absolute value and obviously we believe in him,” said Nedved.
Previously, there was a discussion about the exchange of Cristiano Ronaldo with Paris Saint-Germain striker, Mauro Icardi. Reportedly, the new Juve coach, Massimiliano Allegri, prefers Icardi over Ronaldo.
