Juventus Continues to be Bombarded with Problems in the 2021-2022 Season

DBasia.news – Problems do not stop coming to Juventus in the 2021-2022 season. After being left by Cristiano Ronaldo, an inconsistent start at the start of the Serie A season, and recently Il Bianconeri stumbled upon an alleged case of false financial statements.
Following a crushing 0-4 defeat to Chelsea in the Champions League, Juventus lost in Week 14 of Serie A against Atalanta at the Allianz Stadium, Sunday (28/11) early morning WIB. Juve lost 0-1 to Duvan Zapata’s goal in the 28th minute.
Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus were unable to score in much of the remaining time despite having 59 percent possession, releasing 15 shots and only two of them on target.
“It was a similar performance against Lazio, with Fiorentina and Milan. We didn’t take the chances we created, Atalanta only had one shot on goal from our mistakes and as I said yesterday, in the end it was the decisive goal,” Allegri told DAZN.
“There was some anxiety, the players were rushed and impatient, but we have to keep improving and try to win games to get the confidence and composure back.”
The defeat puts Juventus in eighth place in the standings with 21 points from 14 matches that have taken place. In addition, the defeat was also Juve’s first home defeat to Atalanta since 1989.
“It (the win over Juventus) is a joy for me, for the club and the whole city of Bergamo. It was a very difficult and physically demanding match, but at least Atalanta played at a balanced level,” added Gasperini.
“A lot was said about Atalanta at the start of the season, but we started well or we wouldn’t have had 28 points. There were some games that didn’t go our way or the points we deserved, but I’ve never seen Atalanta struggling.”
“We are in an emergency situation for a while because of injuries, that’s true, and other players have to adapt to different roles. It was a setback, but everyone stepped up and performed well.”
Juventus Player Injury
Another problem that bothers Allegri is the injury to two Juventus players after the match against Atalanta. They are Federico Chiesa and Weston McKennie.
Chiesa was substituted at half-time due to a muscle injury and according to Football-Italy, Chiesa will not play on Tuesday (30/11) local time against Salernitana due to the injury.
Meanwhile, McKennie will only receive further examination from the Juventus medical team regarding his injury. Allegedly the midfielder from the United States injured his knee leg. The absence of the two key Juventus players added to the problem for Juventus.
