Juventus Must be Motivated Despite Being Out of the Champions League

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus coach, urged his team to use failure in the Champions League as motivation for success in the Europa League.

Most recently, Juventus were defeated by Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in the final match of Group H UCL at the Allianz Stadium, Thursday (3/11).

Juve actually needed a win to ensure their place in the Europa League play-offs, but in the end they have to thank Benfica who beat Maccabi Haifa 6-1.

They finished third with a collection of 3 points, only superior on goal difference over the Israeli representatives who were locked in last place.

“We did well, but it was a shame in the final result,” Allegri said in his post-match press conference.

“We are going to the Europa League, starting tomorrow we have to turn a new page. We have to be ferocious and move on to get on with the work.”

“On the one hand there is reason to be content to still be in the Europa League, but on the other hand there is disappointment to be out of the Champions League.”

“I’m still furious and we have to bring this anger into us in the next game in Europe.”

Nearby, Juve, who are still scattered in seventh place in the Serie A standings, will host domestic rivals, Inter Milan in the 13th giornata at the same place, Monday (7/11).
