DBasia.news – Juventus management reportedly has to pay 8.5 million euros, equivalent to Rp. 148.6 billion as a consequence of Maurizio Sarri’s dismissal. Currently, the Bianconeri already has Andrea Pirlo to become the new manager of the old lady.
Sarri actually successfully presented the Scudetto in his first season training the Old Lady. However, he failed to win the Coppa Italia and had to fall in the top 16 of the Champions League.
Sarri’s relationship with management is not harmonious, making him risk his position. Sarri also had mentioned Juventus as a team that was not well managed.
As reported by the Italian Football, Tuesday (8/9), Sarri refused to terminate his own contract at Juventus. This forced the club management to become the party that had to complete a one-sided collaboration with the former Napoli coach. Consequently, Juventus had to provide severance pay.
In the contract clause, Juventus had a clause to terminate Sarri’s cooperation a year before it ended. However, this clause will only take effect in June 2021. As Sarri’s contract lasts until 2022.
In order to terminate the contract sooner, Juventus must pay 2.5 million euros to Sarri. While waiting for June 2021 to arrive, Juventus are also obliged to pay Sarri’s remaining salary of 6 million euros.
Juventus have already appointed Andrea Pirlo as coach of the senior team. They are willing to risk their achievements even though Pirlo does not have the qualified experience as a tactician.
