DBasia.news – Gleison Bremer has been targeted by Juventus and Inter Milan. Even though it was over, Juventus managed to obtain him.
Reported by Fabrizio Romano, European football transfer expert, Juventus have reached an agreement with Torino about Bremer at a price of 40 million euros, plus a bonus of seven million euros. Torino accepted Juventus’ offer which was higher than Inter, with an offer of 30 million euros plus the player Cesare Casadei.
“Juventus have reached an agreement with Torino for Gleison Bremer! An agreement on the figure of 40 million euros, guaranteed, plus bonuses and received by Torino after the price war with Inter,” explained Fabrizio Romano.
Juventus will sign him for five years (2027) with a salary of five million euros per year. Bremer (25 years) will immediately replace Matthijs de Ligt who anchored to Bayern Munich. Plus complete the Brazil squad in the Juventus squad.
As is known, Juventus currently has four Brazilian players in Massimiliano Allegri’s squad, namely Arthur Melo, Danilo, Alex Sandro and Kaio Jorge. Alex Sandro and Danilo who play as defenders can help Bremer’s adaptation process.
Inter also targeted Bremer beforehand in anticipation of Milan Skriniar’s departure. The reason is, the Slovakian defender is reportedly very seriously wanted by PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) who are ready to spend 80 million euros.
Bremer was one of the top defenders in Italy last season and made 33 appearances for Torino. In the span of 2,893 minutes played, Bremer scored three goals, provided one assist, and was strong in defense.
Last season also Bremer was selected as Serie A’s Best Defender 2021-2022. Kidnapped from Whoscored, the former Atletico Mineiro has a knack for aerial duels and cutting through opponents, he’s also a straightforward, uncompromising defender, typical of a South American defender. The drawback is in the ability to pass the ball.
