Keisuke Honda’s Comment of Cambodia’s Defeat Against Malaysia

DBasia.news – The general manager or coach and manager of Cambodia national team, Keisuke Honda, is satisfied with the squad performance. He told that despite the 1-3 defeat of Angkor Warriors from Malaysia in the friendly match at Olympic National Stadium, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

This match remarked the debut of the former AC Milan player with the Cambodia national team. The debut ended less well due to the loss.

The Cambodia national team got defeated after leading with Soeuy Visal’s goal at 18′. The Malaysia national team scored three goals in the second round by Shahrul Saad (61′), Syazwan Andik Ishak (72′), and Shahrel Fikri Fauzi (92′).

“First of all, I want to congratulate Malaysia. I am satisfied. We got a loss, but I see that the Cambodia national team played well in the first 30 minutes. They have to improve it to 90 minutes,” Keisuke Honda said after the match.

“They also conducted my 90 percent instruction. For me, from what I saw, they followed my philosophy,” Keisuke Honda added.

Keisuke Honda realized that the performance was still below perfect. “But no one is great for 90 minutes. I never see that even in the Europe top players. We have to find a way to play well despite the exhaustion,” he added.

The Cambodia national team is planned to play against Timor Leste on October 12, Singapore on October 16, and November 2. The friendly matches are part of preparation ahead of 2018 AFF Cup.
