Kleberson: Manchester United Need Strong Defenders

DBasia.news –  Former Manchester United player Kleberson suggested the Red Devils to recruit the tough Ajax Amsterdam defender Matthijs de Ligt.

De Ligt is a young player who is in the spotlight of elite European clubs thanks to his impressive performances with Ajax. Only 19 years old, he has been the captain of the team and is so strong on defense.

He also successfully brought Ajax through to the Champions League semifinals. Finally, De Ligt brought the Dutch national team to runner-up UEFA Nations League.

“In my opinion, Manchester United need to bring in Matthijs de Ligt, who will be a good player to join because of his style of play,” Kleberson said.

“With his crossing, he is very comfortable with the ball and he reads the game well. Manchester United need a solid defender behind to be able to create more opportunities going forward,” Kleberson added.

Last season, De Ligt defended Ajax in 55 matches in all competitions. He also contributed seven goals and four assists.
