DBasia.news – Stephanie Frappart has made history by becoming the first woman to referee a men’s football match when Liverpool went up against Chelsea in the European Super Cup. Her performance was said to be neat by Jurgen Klopp, manager of the Reds. In the eyes of Klopp, the performance of the 35-year-old referee and her team in the historic match was fairly perfect.
The French woman referee was very confident and firmly led the match until the penalty shootout.
“I told them (Stephanie Frappart and mates), if we play like they lead this fight, we can win 6-0. They have performed great. They are really good, “Klopp said.
“There is so much pressure in this historic moment. However, they remained calm and carried out their duties as they should, making decisions in important matches. I really respect Stephanie Frappart. “
In the Super Cup match, Frappart only issued three yellow cards. All three were given to Cesar Azpilicueta, Jordan Henderson, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
