Klopp shares his memories with Salah at Liverpool

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Mohamed Salah has collected 150 goals with Liverpool. This fact has become a source of nostalgia for the Reds manager, Jurgen Klopp.

Salah scored his 150th goal in Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Norwich City in the 2021-2022 Premier League continued at Anfield, Saturday (19/2). He calmly outwit the keeper and two defenders to put the hosts ahead in the 67th minute.

Salah also had a number of other opportunities to add to his goal treasury. But luck has not been on his side.

Klopp is one person who is thrilled with Salah’s goal record. He even couldn’t believe that one of his recruits had turned into a goal-hungry predator.

Klopp brought Salah to Liverpool from AS Roma in the summer of 2017. The transfer value of £37.8 million made many people frown.

But Salah was quick to answer those doubts. He immediately played an important role in Liverpool’s game.

Klopp does not fully remember all the 150 goals that Salah has scored. But some of them stuck automatically in the mind of the German tactician.

“I may not remember all the goals but I can remember a lot and there were some good goals. The first in my opinion was against Watford, the easiest goal he has probably scored since he was here,” Klopp told Liverpool’s official website.

Watford was the first team that Salah broke into with Liverpool in an official event. He did so in the inaugural match of the 2017-18 Premier League.

As Klopp said, the process is indeed easy. Salah kicked the ball in front of the goal without guard.

“Nobody expected that that day when he scored against Watford that in such a short time, he could score another 149 goals. It’s really special,” he added.

In addition, Klopp also cannot forget a series of world-class goals created by Salah. The former Chelsea player often does solo runs before breaking into the opponent’s goal.

“I remember the goal against Chelsea when he was on the sidelines and the hard kick at the far post. Some of the others dribbled, namely the one against (Man) City, Watford and the goal against United which I really liked, also from Ali (Alisson) passes. ” he closed.
