DBasia.news – Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos assumed Mesut Ozil deserves a proper farewell ceremony after retiring from Germany national team. Kroos emphasized Ozil is a player with a good attitude.
Mesut Ozil decided to retire from the Germany national team after the problems. First, Ozil was accused of supporting the human rights violation after having a picture with Turkey president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Furthermore, Ozil became the scapegoat for the failure of Germany national team in the group phase of the 2018 World Cup. In fact, Manuel Neuer and friends were the defending champion.
Ozil’s decision is still trending until now. Many regret the Arsenal midfielder decision for being too careless.
“Basically Mesut is a deserved national player and deserves a better finish as a footballer. I have played with Mesut for many years and know that he is a nice guy,” Kroos told Bild.

“The way of his resignation was not ok. The proportion that is well and properly addressed in his statement is unfortunately overshadowed by the much higher proportion of nonsense. I think that he himself knows that racism does not exist within the national team and the DFB.”
“On the contrary, we are always committed to diversity and integration. Mesut was a good example of that, as many of our fellow players did,” Kroos added.
Mesut Ozil has joined the senior team since February 11, 2009. The former Real Madrid player scored 23 goals in 92 matches. Meanwhile, his best record was when he brought Der Panzer got the 2014 World Cup title.
