DBasia.news – Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, has appointed a new vice-captain, Jorginho.
Chelsea started a new chapter under the tutelage of Frank Lampard in the 2019-2020 season. Some players had left without being able to bring in new players due to the transfer ban.
One of the players who left Chelsea was captain, Gary Cahill. The result, the deputy captain of the 2018-2019 season, Cesar Azpilicueta was promoted.
Frank Lampard considers Jorginho as the right person to be the vice captain. Lampard believes the Italian player has characteristics as a leader.
“Jorginho will be the vice captain of Cesar Azpilicueta. The position of Azpilicueta has been clear since the start of the season. In my opinion, he is a professional,” stated Frank Lampard.
“Jorginho’s career speaks for him. I often talk to him and his character. You can see evidence on the field. The situation is displayed clearly.”
