DBasia.news –  Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, felt that many have doubted his team’s ability to finish in the top four this season. He said that after the fight against Leicester City.

“We were underdogs at the start of the season. “Not many people believed we could be in the top four and I understand why, and it might still be the same now,” Frank Lampard said at Soccerway.

Chelsea drew 2-2 against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in the Week 25 match of the English League, Saturday (1/2/2020) PM WIB. Two of the Blues’ goals were scored by Antonio Rudiger, while goals from The Foxes were scored by Harvey Barnes and Ben Chilwell.

This draw leaves Chelsea in fourth place on the standings with 41 points. The Blues are six points ahead of Manchester United, and seven ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, who are also aiming for 4th place.

According to Lampard, since the start of the season, Chelsea have not been seeded in the top four. As they have been embargoed with a transfer. However, the Blues with their mediocre squad were able to perch in fourth position until week 25.

“We came to Leicester, which was praised by many people and that was true, but we got points. Now we have to continue this until the end of the season, “Frank Lampard added.

In the next match, Chelsea will host Manchester United. This duel will take place at Stamford Bridge on February 18.
