DBasia.news – Chelsea coach, Frank Lampard, said the presence of Roman Abramovich in the world of football had raised the level of football. It is not separated from the high expectations that are always owned by the club owner.
Roman Abramovich has been known as a club owner who did not hesitate to fire the coach who he consideres to have failed to meet expectations. Evidently, top coaches that have become victims are Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, and Luis Felipe Scolari.
Frank Lampard admitted that he has also continued to be haunted by the dismissal from Abramovich. He also considers the current task of the coach is heavier due to the presence of the Russian man.
“The coach’s task has become far more intense over the past 20 years. Especially in the era of Roman Abramovich as there are high hopes that brings us to be always under high pressure, “said the Blues legend as quoted by Football5star from the Daily Mail, Sunday (5/4/2020).
“In practice, this has made some difficult decisions for coaches, who need very strong players with strong personalities as well,” he continued.
Furthermore, Frank Lampard also compared the pressure that the current coach is getting with the Chelsea coaches two decades ago. He thinks his predecessors will not feel what the Blues interpreter feels under the control of Abramovich.
“I don’t think the Chelsea coach 25 years ago will need the same quality as what is needed now. “The conditions are different, now our expectations are high and we are required to be champions,” concluded the former Derby County tactician.
