DBasia.news – After the long wait, Laurent Koscielny hit the pitch with Arsenal. The captain performed when the team ended the last match of Group E Europa League with a 1-0 score against Qarabag FC, Friday (14/12).
Seeing Arsenal under the crisis of center-back, with Rob Holding got injured, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Shkodran Mustafi under the card accumulation, seems like the coach Unai Emery would send the French player in the match against Southampton on Sunday (16/12).
However, Emery hasn’t confirmed whether he would send Koscielny in that match or not. The former Sevilla coach would see the situation considering that he is still recovering from the Achilles injury.
“When he comes back like today with us, every supporter of Arsenal is happy, and also the player. We are going to continue this process maybe on Sunday. I want to wait tomorrow and Saturday for how he will feel after this match, for if he will play or not on Sunday,” Emery said quoted by FourFourTwo.
