Lautaro Martinez misses Romelu Lukaku

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Inter Milan doesn’t seem to miss the departure of Romelu Lukaku who left for Chelsea last summer. However, things are different for Lautaro Martinez.

Inter Milan took the bold decision by selling Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea for €113 million. This amount has made Lukaku the most expensive player the Nerazzurri have ever sold.

According to circulating news, Inter actually have no desire to let Lukaku go. However, the player has asked directly to return to Stamford Bridge.

La Beneamata also brought in Edin Dzeko as a substitute. Interestingly, Inter does not need to spend money on transfer fees.

The results to date mentions that Dzeko will fill the spot left by Lukaku well. So far, the aging striker has scored 14 goals in various competitions.

Meanwhile, Lukaku is struggling at Chelsea. Lukaku is considered unsuitable for the tactics developed by Thomas Tuchel. The striker has only scored five goals in the Premier League.

In fact, in an interview, Lukaku openly admitted that he missed Inter Milan. He said he wanted to return to defend the Nerazzurri one day.

Inter CEO, Giuseppe Marotta, also responded. He considered that Inter have done a brilliant business after selling Lukaku for a high price and bringing in Dzeko as a free replacement. Meanwhile, the appearance on the field is not much different.

However, the view is different for Lautaro Martinez. The Argentine striker lost his duet friend on the front lines.

Lautaro’s performance with Dzeko has not been as good as when he was in action with Lukaku. Lautaro and Dzeko’s cooperation has not gone well. Often times the two had misunderstandings.

This season, Lautaro has failed to score in Inter’s last six Serie A matches. In addition, his goalscoring account in the Champions League has not opened.

Meanwhile, when appearing with Lukaku, Lautaro often opens up space in the counter-attack scheme. That way, Lukaku can use his physical strength and speed to run in different directions before providing a pass or releasing a finishing finish.

If added together, the two strikers contributed 41 goals and 20 assists in Il Biscione’s journey to Serie A champions last season. That amount is almost half of the goals scored by Inter.

Inevitably, Lautaro lost the figure of Lukaku as his duet partner in the Inter banging sector. The duet that earned the nickname LuLa is now just a memory.
