By news-admin
DBasia.news – Leicester City manager, Claude Puel, insisted that he needs the service of Harry Maguire. The manager won’t care about the interests by some Europe big clubs to him.
Harry Maguire name started to steal the light after guarding the defensive line of England national team during the 2018 World Cup. Though failed to achieve ‘Football it’s coming home’, the three defenders formation by England was praised.
No wonder some clubs are eyeing Harry Maguire. Including Manchester United due to the uncertainty of Jose Mourinho of the current defender, Chris Smalling, and Phil Jones.
However, Puel indicated will refuse all the offerings. The 56-year-old manager will keep Maguire’s performance after the World Cup.
“It is important for him to continue for Leicester. It is a good feeling. If our players are interesting a lot of clubs it is because we are recruiting well and doing good work,” Puel said reported by Daily Star.
“It is important we continue this. When we welcome players back from the World Cup, I hope we can give them the opportunity to continue advancing their ambitions and perform in the Premier League,” the manager insisted.
Leicester City got Harry Maguire from Hull City with £12,3M on July 2017. Currently, the 25-year-old player is still on contract until June 2022. While Transfermarkt mentioned his worth is around £31,5M.
