Leicester Extends their Seven-game Winning Streak

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Leicester City managed to reap maximum results in the 15th matchday of the 2019-2020 English Premier League. Facing Watford, The Foxes managed to end the game with a 2-0 victory over Watford.

Over the victory, the team made by Brendan Rodgers has extended their unbeaten run in seven consecutive matches in the Premier League. They also remain in second place standings with 35 points, eight points adrift of leaders Liverpool (43).

While Watford are still a low-level team struggling to avoid the relegation zone with a collection of eight points.

Despite appearing to dominate since the beginning of the match, Leicester had to struggle to open the scoring, as they were only able to score in the second half.

The first round went to the Foxes who continue to pound on the defense of Watford. But until halftime, none of the opportunities created were successful, so Leicester had to settle with ending the first interval with a score of 0-0.

Entering the second half, it did not dampen Leicester to continue to press. Until the 55th minute, The Foxes were rewarded with a penalty following a foul by Watford defender, James Madison. Jamie Vardy who was appointed as executioner also managed to list his name on the scoreboard to deliver Leicester to win 1-0.

Although being superior, it did not Leicester’s pound. Even so with Watford who tried to strike back. They could have actually made a draw in the 88th minute had Abdoulaye Doucoure’s header not been deviated.
