Lewandowski says Klopp is a Bad Teacher
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Bayern Munich star, Robert Lewandowski reveals one of the figures behind his success. He mentioned the name of the current Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp.
Lewandowski has won two Bundesliga titles with Bayern and one German Cup in four seasons. According to transfermarkt’s records, the Polish player has scored 23 goals and six assists in 20 games across competitions this season.
Even though he has become a star player, Lewandowski admits he still remembers the figure who played a role behind his success. He mentioned Jurgen Klopp’s name as a coach who educated him harshly. That’s why Lewandowski said Klopp was a bad teacher.
“As a coach, he’s like the ‘bad’ teacher. And I mean that in the best sense. He’s not satisfied with letting you be the B student, you know? Jurgen wants A + students. He doesn’t want it for himself, it’s for you. “Lewandowski said to Goal.
“He taught me a lot. When I joined Dortmund, I wanted to do everything fast, strong, one touch. Jurgen taught me to be calm, to make two touches if necessary.”
“It was totally against my nature, but afterwards I scored more goals. When I slowed down, he challenged me to speed it up again. One touch. Goals. He slows down to speed me up. Sounds simple yes, but it’s genius, really, “Lewandowski explained.
