Lionel Messi Critics Barcelona

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Unusual matter to be shown by Lionel Messi in Barcelona. The Argentine star criticized the Blaugrana management. What’s up, Messi?

Messi, the most influential and best player in Barcelona, caused a media uproar. The 32-year-old striker felt cornered by comments by sporting director Eric Abidal.

Abidal, who was also Messi’s former teammate in the 2007-2013 season, initially revealed the dismissal process experienced by Ernesto Valverde. The former French national team player mentioned three causes.

First, Abidal judged the goalless draw against Real Madrid in El Clasico to be the trigger. Then, he considered there are some players whose performance is not good, and finally there is a problem of poor internal communication.

Abidal’s explanation made Messi make a statement on his social media, a very rare thing for the superstar to do. The player who has scored 622 goals in 711 matches for Barcelona asked Abidal to name anyone he called playing poorly.

Not only that, but Messi also rejected the notion that only the player’s factors influence Barcelona’s performance. Messi thinks management is also responsible.

If you view Abidal’s comments, Messi is still the most prominent player in Barcelona this season. He has scored 19 goals and 12 assists, more than Luis Suarez (14 goals and 11 assists) and Antoine Griezmann (12 goals and 4 assists).

However, the commotion of Messi and Abidal made Barcelona increasingly hit by oblique news. The Spanish league giant is rumored to be experiencing an internal crisis.

Messi’s Anomaly Attitude

The attitude shown is an anomaly. The reason is, very rarely Messi reacts violently to the condition of the club or his team.

Since last season, Messi began to be seen more often emotions. In fact, several times the owner of 6 Ballon d’Or trophies was involved in a commotion in the field.

Among them, Messi had a fuss with Sergio Ramos at El Clasico last season, clashed with Gary Medel in the 2019 Copa America, fussed with Edinson Cavani in a friendly match, and finally had an argument with Joao Felix in the Spanish Super Cup. As for the controversy outside the field, Messi had caused an uproar after accusing CONMEBOL of being corrupt and bribery. That made him banned from competing with the Argentine national team.

Especially for the Barcelona management, Messi actually rarely criticized his club. Finally, Messi did it in 2013 when criticizing Javier Fraus, the club’s vice president at the time.

Previously Fraus had said that Barcelona almost released Messi. However, Messi replied that Fraus was not someone who understood football. In the end, management relented and increased the value of the contract.

Messi’s attitude this time made the anomaly re-emerge. However, how is management’s attitude towards Messi this time?
