Liverpool Captain, Henderson: Better to watch children’s shows than Man City
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson, responded hilariously to questions regarding his team’s epic rivalry with Manchester City at the top of the table towards the end of the season.
Henderson and his team mates were able to cut the gap from 14 points to one since last January. The hunt for the English Premier League title must also be determined until the final week.
Most recently, the Reds managed to beat Southampton 2-1 in Week 37 at St. Mary’s, Wednesday (18/5).
“It’s always challenging, City never seem to drop points. They are a fantastic team,” Henderson told Sky Sports, regarding the fierce competition with City.
When asked by Jamie Carragher if he or his Liverpool team-mates were monitoring Pep Guardiola’s squad playing, Hendo replied casually.
“I usually don’t,” said the former Sunderland midfielder.
“I know some players are doing it now, those at home probably doing it. The way City play is never good to watch,” he stated.
“I chose to watch a children’s [television] channel or something. That might be something better to watch,” he added.
As for the last match, Liverpool will host Wolves at Anfield. Meanwhile City will be challenged by Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium.
