Liverpool Extends Neco Williams’ Contract
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Premier League champions, Liverpool have reportedly extended the contract of young defender, Neco Williams on Tuesday (18/8). Liverpool has extended Williams’ contract until 2025.
“It feels great. Right now I don’t think there is a better place to learn and be a better player than here and working with these people. I think we have some of the best players in the world and we are one of them. The best team in the world, “said Williams as quoted from Goal International.
The 2019-2020 season has been a memorable season for Williams. The Welsh full-back made his debut with Liverpool’s first team in a League Cup match against Arsenal in October 2019.
“For me personally, especially learning from Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson every day, getting their advice, and seeing what they have to say, will only make me a better person and I feel it,” added Williams.
With Liverpool, Williams has appeared in 11 matches, six of which were in the Premier League. This earned him a medal when Liverpool won their first Premier League trophy in 30 years.
The extension of the young defender’s contract was also warmly welcomed by Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp. “From the first day Neco trained with us, he trained like a machine. Every day he keeps getting better and better,” added Klopp.
