Liverpool haven’t been consistent
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Liverpool have not been able to show a consistent performance this season. The Reds goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, stated that the situation was due to a number of injured players.
Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita, Ibrahima Konate, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jordan Henderson are all injured players. Losing them made Liverpool appear poorly.
In the six Premier League matches played, Liverpool swallowed two wins, three draws and one defeat. As a result, Jurgen Klopp’s troops are now in seventh place in the standings with nine points.
“We knew we weren’t at our level that everyone is used to seeing, but we tried and we fought. I believe it’s just because of the circumstances around us, which is a lot of injuries,” Becker said as quoted by Anfield Watch.
Becker believes Liverpool will return to their best. He said his teammates had tried their best to win in every match that was held.
“There are so many reasons that we can use to point to our poor performance. But in the end, everything will come back to each of us,” he stated.
“We have to have the right attitude on the pitch. Like it or not, we have to work hard against the problems that have befallen us and try to fix those problems,” he added.
In addition, Becker asked everyone at Liverpool to believe in Klopp. According to him, the German formation interpreter knows well the steps that must be taken to bring his team to compete again at the top.
“We have to be able to fix it with football in accordance with our ideas. We have to hold on to that,” said the 29-year-old goalkeeper.
“We also have to fight physically. We are doing that and are getting there. The game [against Everton] is a great example of what we can do this season,” he continued.
