Liverpool Legend Says Marcus Rashford Doesn’t Deserve to be a Starter at Man United

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has criticized Marcus Rashford. He considered the winger’s performance was not good enough to be a starter in the MU squad.

This season has been a tough one for Marcus Rashford. The striker struggled to repeat the form like two seasons ago.

Many factors are believed to be the cause. Injuries and stiff competition have made it difficult for Rashford.

Most recently, Rashford got a bad score when he acted in a duel against Atletico Madrid. Not surprisingly, Rangnick replaced him in the second half.

Carragher thinks Rangnick needs to rethink if he wants to make Rashford a starter. Because, at this time Rashford is in trouble showing his spurs.

“I don’t think Rashford should start at Manchester United at the moment,” Carragher said, as reported by CBS Sport.

“If I tell the truth, his performances this season have not been good enough to break into the first team,” continued the player who is now a commentator.

At the beginning of his appearance in the first team, Rashford was predicted to be an important player for Manchester United. However, until now Rashford has not been able to prove that prediction.

“We are all still waiting for Rashford to make a big leap in his career. He can be a great player for Manchester United, at least the one who brings trophies for the Red Devils,” explained Carragher.

“However, for now Rashfrod has not reached that level. In fact, for a player of his age, Rashford must have a bigger impact than what he currently does,” said Carragher.
