Liverpool Players Ready to Play Against West Ham
By news-admin
DBasia.news – Liverpool will start the first week of 2018/2019 Premier League by playing against West Ham United in Anfield, Sunday (12/8). The Hammers are predicted to be the most surprising team this season by the recruitments. Also, they are now under the manager who once won the Premier League title, Mauricio Pellegrini.
Liverpool shouldn’t be unguarded playing against West Ham though Jurgen Klopp’s players are in different health condition. There are players who just joined the club after playing in the 2018 World Cup and have an additional holiday, and also those who are injured.
The Reds players with a doubtful condition to play against West Ham: Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, and Joel Matip. While two central-back, Dejan Lovren, and Ragnar Klavan won’t play. Klavan is injured, while Lovren is still in recovery.
‘The [Fabinho’s] scan was clear. It was only a check-up and the scan was clear, but he felt ill when he came back so we sent him home again. Obviously, he was not feeling really well so we sent him home again and I didn’t see him so far and I didn’t ask anybody, so we will see,” Klopp said in Liverpool official site.
“We will see about the England boys and Dejan [Lovren]. They are all in different shape. Trent (Alexander-Arnold) has had longer, which is good. (Jordan) Henderson is full of power but hasn’t been back long. It’s Hendo though, you always think about him. Dejan is unavailable for the weekend.”
“Ragnar has no real chance. Joel did train in small parts like Joe did so we will see how they are today. At the end, I’m pretty sure we will have a fantastic football team on the pitch and hopefully I have to make a few decisions. It looks like in the moment that a few players are not involved, but that’s how it is,” Klopp expected.
Besides them, Klopp still has enough ammunition to defeat West Ham by relying on players like Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Virgil van Dijk, Naby Keita, and Xherdan Shaqiri.
