Liverpool Reportedly Turned Down Two Club Approaches for Takumi Minamino
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Premier League giants Liverpool have reportedly rejected approaches made by Leeds United and Monaco who tried to sign winger Takumi Minamino in the January transfer window.
As reported by Sky Sports, Liverpool rejected approaches from Leeds and Monaco because of Takumi Minamino’s slick performances in the last few games.
In addition, Minamino is also considered capable of replacing the roles of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane who must be absent from defending Liverpool because they have to compete in the African Cup of Nations.
Liverpool also have to compete in four competitions this season, which makes Minamino’s energy still needed.
It is believed Liverpool will only respond to approaches and offers for Takumi Minamino if there is an attractive big offer from the Japanese national team player.
This season, Takumi Minamino has made 18 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, but only six times has he started the game and four others have played in the League Cup.
Takumi Minamino came to Liverpool in January 2020 from RB Salzburg for a fee of around £7.25 million or around Rp116 billion.
During his time with the Reds, Takumi Minamino has appeared in 49 matches and scored 10 goals and three assists in all competitions.
In the second half of last season, Takumi Minamino was loaned to Southampton for six months and made 10 appearances and scored two goals.
