Liverpool Start Recovering After Injury Hurricane
By db-admin
DBasia.news – A hurricane of injuries has hit the Liverpool squad in the past few weeks. The latest news is that the storm will end soon as a number of key Reds players who had stepped aside are gradually recovering.
At least eight of the eleven names subscribed to in Liverpool’s starting line-up are not in a fit condition. The main center-back duo, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, are even threatened with being absent until the end of the season due to severe injuries.
This condition was exacerbated by the inadequacy of two of Liverpool’s mainstay full-backs, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson. The Red Merseyside defense is practically experiencing a player crisis.
Things are not much different to Liverpool’s midfield. Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara and Jordan Henderson are also out of shape. Meanwhile, the news of Mohamed Salah being infected with the corona virus has further complemented the suffering of Jurgen Klopp’s team.
However, the good news began to approach Liverpool ahead of the match against Leicester City in the 2020-2021 Premier League, this weekend. Some of the injured players have returned to training and have the opportunity to appear against the top of the standings.
Robertson, Thiago and Henderson are the three players whose condition has progressed significantly. Fabinho has also devoured a training session at the fitness center.
Robertson and Henderson are likely to appear from the first minute of the match against Leicester. Meanwhile, the conditions of Thiago and Fabinho must be monitored seriously so that they are not fatal.
This condition certainly makes Klopp a little calmer. He could have more options even though he recently promoted eight academy players to the senior team.
The match against Leicester is very important for Liverpool in their quest to defend the title. A win will automatically take them to the top of the standings.
