DBasia.news – Eric Bailly made Manchester United fans anxious when strengthening Ivory Coast in a test match against Belgium. The 26-year-old defender looked in pain and had to be pulled out.
In the match which took place at King Baudouin Stadium, Friday (9/10) in the morning WIB, the two teams drew 1-1. Michy Batshuayi’s goal was repaid by Frank Kessie’s penalty.
Bailly played 69 minutes in the match. He was replaced by Odilon Kossounou after limping and holding his back thigh.
Even so, Bailly denied suffering from a hamstring injury. He claims his condition is fine at this time.
“Thank you for worrying about me but I’m fine. I’m just exhausted,” wrote Bailly on his personal Instagram account.
“Good evening to all of you and God protect us.”
Naturally, what happened to Bailly made Manchester United fans worried. The former Villarreal player is now considered the main hope of improving his beloved team’s defense.
This cannot be separated from the poor performances of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof at the start of the 2020-2021 season. Manchester United have conceded 11 goals in just three matches.
In addition, Bailly’s injury-prone condition is also one of the reasons for Manchester United fans’ concern. Last season, he made only eleven appearances in all competitions due to spending more time in the recovery room.
