DBasia.news – Unai Emery, Arsenal manager, did not mask his disappointment from being beaten by Manchester City. However, Emery admitted that the Citizens were better and more consistent than Arsenal.
Arsenal could not match Manchester City after losing 3-1 in the 2018-2019 Premier League advanced match, at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday (3/2). The Citizens dominated the match by creating 19 opportunities throughout the game.
The defeat made Unai Emery disappointed. However, he did not deny that Manchester City played better than Arsenal.
“We want to do everything in our own way. However, to do that we need time and sometimes more patience. Right now, we are fighting with Manchester United and Chelsea to fight on the top four,” Emery stressed on Arsenal’s official website.
“Now we lose and are three points behind and two points behind Chelsea and Manchester United. The situation makes us think of matches by matches, maintain stability and be consistent in 38 matches,” said Emery.
Now, Arsenal slipped in sixth place with 47 points. In fact, in the previous few weeks the Gunners ranked in the top four.
“The difference is for example with Manchester City today. Compared to Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur they are more stable in every game and gain many goals,” explained the manager.
“Today we lost. However, we will continue to grow. The next match against Huddersfield is very important. In a match like that we will return stable to move to the desired position, in the top four.”
