Louis van Gaal: Corona is used by Clubs to Find Profits

DBasia.news –  Dutch veteran coach, Louis van Gaal, commented on the corona pandemic that has spread across the world. He thinks there are clubs that are utilizing this disaster for their own benefit.

As is known, the corona pandemic has halted competitions around the world. Some of them have not even been able to determine when the competition will resume, such as the Premier League, Serie A and LaLiga.

On the other hand, many assume that this season’s competition must be ended and the champion is determined through the last standings before the competition is postponed. For Louis van Gaal, this option is no way out. As according to him the winner can only be determined in the field.

“In football, winning can only be determined on the field. I see there are clubs that use this corona virus pandemic for their own benefit, “Van Gaal told Dutch media, Algemeen Dagblad, Sunday (5/4/2020).

“UEFA and FIFA are opened to breaking rules and offering a little leeway. No problem with that. “Let’s start working on it so that everything can go back to normal,” he added.

The former Dutch national team tactician also criticized the statement of Ajax Amsterdam who wanted the 2019-2020 season to be stopped. He claimed it was only a trick for Ajax to lock in the title.

“It is not possible after 25 matches that there is a mechanism that makes Ajax the winneer. AZ Alkmaar has the same number of points and the season is only three quarters in. That doesn’t make sense, “concludes Louis van Gaal.
