By db-admin

DBasia.news – Liverpool move in silent mode. At a time when the Reds were not widely rumored with players in the transfer market this winter, before the deadline for Liverpool to recruit a new striker.

Liverpool spent €40 million with an additional bonus of up to €20 million to sign Luis Diaz from Porto. The 25-year-old player is contracted until June 2027 by Liverpool and it further strengthens Liverpool’s front line.

Diaz can immediately replace Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah who are participating in the African Cup of Nations. But on the other hand, Diaz also adds depth to Liverpool’s players on the front lines.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool now have Diaz, Mane, Salah, Roberto Firmino, Takumi Minamino, Divock Origi, and Harvey Elliott up front. As a result, as reported by Express, there will be players who have the potential to be released by Liverpool.

The two names most likely to leave are Minamino and Origi. Liverpool are reportedly ready to listen to offers from clubs interested in them. According to The Athletic Leeds United and Monaco are interested in signing Minamino.

Minamino (27 years old) who has scored 6 goals in 732 minutes of appearances this season (same as 8 games), is valued at around £20 million, lkewise with Origi.

The Belgian striker has appeared 393 minutes this season (the equivalent of 4 full games) scoring 5 goals, but Origi’s contract expires in the summer of 2022. Liverpool also have the option of extending it a year if he plays certain games this season.

Origi, who already has 31 caps with the Belgian national team, is monitored by Atalanta, West Ham United and Newcastle United.

In addition to the front line at Liverpool’s deadline, central defender Nathaniel Phillips can also leave, because he admits he needs regular playing time, which is challenging to get at Liverpool.

“I don’t think at the moment it’s possible I’ll be playing a lot of games for Liverpool, so if there’s an opportunity where I get a chance to do that somewhere else. And if it suits everyone then it’s definitely something I’d be interested in doing.”
