Luke Shaw criticizes Manchester United’s manager
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Luke Shaw, Manchester United’s left-back, said the former Red Devils manager had taken too long to believe in underperforming players.
After poor performances in Man United’s first two Premier League games of the season, Shaw lost his place in the first 11. He was replaced by Tyrell Malacia.
However, the 27-year-old player has reclaimed the main post at left-back. He has started in United’s last two league games against Everton and Newcastle United.
“The good thing with this manager [Ten Hag] is if you don’t play well, then you don’t play,” stated Shaw.
“In the past it hasn’t happened, but I think the good thing about this manager is that he’s able to keep everyone on their toes. He makes sure that every player performs 100% every day,” said the owner of 23 caps in the England national team.
“If you don’t perform at your maximum then you won’t play. That’s a positive thing. We all know and for me, of course I have to keep working harder,” he concluded.
Man United are now fifth in the standings with a collection of 16 points. Nearby, the Red Devils will host Tottenham Hotspur in week 12 at Old Trafford, Thursday (20/10).
