Man City is moving to sign Dusan Vlahovic

DBasia.news – Manchester City is still on the hunt to defend the league title and also pursue the ambition of winning the Champions League. But on the other hand, The Citizens are still hunting for attackers.
Although City are still a strong team under Pep Guardiola after the departure of Sergio Aguero, and still has Gabriel Jesus, City needs a central striker when the team is in a stalemate to score goals.
Looking for a striker is not arbitrary and must be in accordance with the philosophy of football that is applied by Guardiola. According to La Repubblica, the striker who entered Guardiola’s selection criteria was Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic.
Man City were originally targeting Harry Kane but Tottenham Hotspur refused to sell him. As a result, Vlahovic became a target. The Serbian striker is only 21 years old and has become a hot commodity.
La Viola has no problem selling him in January 2022 for 50 million euros. But reports from other media reported that Fiorentina asked for a price of around 70-80 million euros for the player.
Man City are competing with Arsenal who are also interested in Vlahovic. So far Vlahovic is in his best form with 14 goals and two assists from 16 matches in all competitions with Fiorentina.
Fiorentina are targeting several names as potential replacements for Vlahovic such as Gianluca Scamacca (Sassuolo), Domenico Berardi (Sassuolo), and Jonathan Ikone (Lille). No doubt Vlahovic’s sales money can be used to recruit them.
Vlahovic falls into the category of striker that City needs due to his fit style of play: a modern forward with great movement with or without the ball. At 21 years of age and a finishing ability that can still be honed, Vlahovic is an asset.
